I've never thought how important Evernote is for me, until now. The troublesome "Unable to Sync" issue keeps showing up; all files on Evernote are simply not accessible. What ....? I checked my iPhone's network connection, made sure I can use google, quitted the Evernote and relaunched it. No, it didn't work. Then I opened my Mac Pro; the Evernote didn't work, either. I upgraded it but still didn't work.
Something on Evernote's Server Side must have gone wrong.

I consulted this page: How to troubleshoot syncing issues, which led me here: Evernote's Status Blog.
It turned out something did go wrong on the server side:

After spending more than half an hour checking what's going on on Evernote and thinking seriously about the robustness of cloud computing, Evernote backed to work again!! Though I can't say 40 minutes is not a big deal.....
Now is 3:27 pm, I read some Evernote support web pages and stuff related to cloud computing in this one hour. At the same time, I lost one hour to write my paper, which is due in a few hours TAT.
But... thanks to Evernote's system bug. I check and write on Evernote every few hours, while leaving my personal website totally abandoned. Now I am back: my first post this semester lol.
Now, I am a little bit worry about all my data stored in the cloud, not only Evernote but Dropbox, Google Drive and almost all apps I use. Before today, as a customer, I mostly worry about the security issue about Cloud Computing, since I like to use iMac at libraries (desktop saves my neck lol), which means I need to log into my Evernote account on many different computers (I believe in Berkeley's computers though). But now, I begin to think about other aspects of Cloud Computing seriously, even from a customer's perspective. What if I desperately need to check something on my Evernote but don't have access to it? No way....
Here comes the question: going into the cloud computing field or not?
Well, I don't know. Both CC and AI/DS sound really interesting to me.
keep exploring~
